Contact improvisation is a form of improvised dancing that has been developing internationally since 1972. It involves the exploration of one's body in relationship to others by using the fundamentals of sharing weight, touch, and movement awareness. A contact improvisation jam is a gathering where participants engage in a focused practice of the form. This jam is exclusively for trans, queer, and P.O.C. folks and is open to anyone who feels they identify with any or all of these communities. Beginners are welcome, there will be introductory lessons for anyone interested.
